What We Believe
Our beliefs are rooted in the truth of God’s Word and centered on the saving work of Jesus Christ.
Our beliefs are rooted in the truth of God’s Word and centered on the saving work of Jesus Christ.
We believe in the inerrant word of God presented in the Bible recognizing that Jesus Christ died for our sins, died a death he did not deserve, and rose from the dead the third day. We believe that we receive the gift of salvation only through His shed blood and upon accepting Him into our lives. Salvation can only be found in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Bible – The Bible is the inerrant, infallible word of God and the final authority on all matters of life and faith.
God – There is only one true, Holy God in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the creator of all things, eternal and unchanging, completely unaffected by time, cultural changes, and popular opinion.
Jesus Christ – Jesus is the only Son of God and the Savior promised in the Old Testament, He is both fully God and fully man. Jesus lived a perfect and sinless life; He is the only qualified sacrifice to pay for the sins of mankind. He was raised from the dead and is alive today – desiring to come into the heart and change the lives of anyone who repents of sin and turns to faith in Him.
Holy Spirit – The Holy Spirit glorifies Jesus Christ. When we receive Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit starts living in us and gives us power and wisdom to follow Jesus. It is through the Holy Spirit we receive spiritual gifts so that we can serve Jesus and carry out His ministry on earth.
Sin – All humans are sinners – because of the wrong things we do and because of our sinful nature. Our sin separates us from the Holy God, and causes us to deserve punishment from Him. In spite of our sin, God loves us and does not want to be separated from us. For that reason, He sent us Jesus.
Salvation – The central purpose of God’s revelation to us is to call us into relationship with Him. Through Christ, God provided the way for us to have our sins forgiven and to have a personal relationship with Him. Salvation is offered to us as a free gift, something that we cannot buy or earn. We can only receive this gift by putting our faith in Jesus Christ and the perfect work of the Cross. When we receive God’s gift of salvation, we start living a different, brand-new life by the power of the Holy Spirit.
