We hope you enjoy perusing our website. You’ll find that there is something going on most every day or night at Fox River Lutheran Church. First and foremost, we invite you to come and visit us, ask us questions, and see what Jesus is doing here.
You can come as you are. Jeans, dresses… Jesus is not concerned about what you are wearing! He’s concerned about our hearts and our spiritual lives! Come see us, take a look around, and let us know how we can assist you in your life, whether emotionally, physically or spiritually!
We’ve been around a while, and we have a short story about our church for you below:
Fox River Lutheran Church’s origins trace back to 1839 when Norwegian immigrants settled in the Fox River Valley. The congregation built its first church building in 1843 in an area known as “The Norwegian Settlement.” The current building (the fourth structure) has served as the church’s home since 2006. Within a few miles, in different locations, one can find two of the other structures still standing.
We are a multigenerational church family which has as its purpose the desire to lift up and worship Jesus Christ. It is an expectation that we impart sound biblical teaching, build Christ-centered relationships, while living out the principles Jesus taught and lived out among the first disciples.
We desire to help equip families and all believers, from children to seniors, to become disciple-makers in their homes and communities.
Come, worship and serve Jesus with us!
Our worship style blends meaningful tradition with a modern approach, creating a service that is both reverent and engaging for all ages.
Nursery care is provided during the Sunday worship service and Sunday School, and Children’s Church is available during the service to help kids learn and grow in a safe, age-appropriate environment.
We would love to welcome you in person and help you feel right at home. Plan your visit and let us know you’re coming. Whether you’re visiting for the first time, returning after time away, or searching for a place to belong, you are warmly welcomed here.
